Trash Amnesty Days

(Clayton County, Ga) – The Clayton County Board of Commissioners is offering relief to residents by hosting Trash Amnesty Days for Clayton County residents with a valid ID. These free waste disposal days are used by communities across the county to clean up neighborhoods and give residents the opportunity to properly dispose of trash.

Fri., May 8, 2026, 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. & Sat., May 9, 2026, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

            Alternate Rain/Weather Dates: Fri., May 22 & Sat., May 23, 2026

District 3, Flint River Community Center, 153 Flint River Road, Riverdale, GA 30274

District 4, Lake Spivey Recreation Center, 2300 Walt Stephens Road, Jonesboro, GA 30236

Fri., May 15, 2026, 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. & Sat., May 16, 2026, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Non-Acceptable Items:

  • No materials that contain asbestos
  • No hazardous waste
  • No flammable materials, or empty containers that say flammable materials
  • No automobile batteries, or rechargeable batteries
  • No tube TVs
  • No liquids of any kind
  • No medical waste
  • No tires
